Get set for an awesome family space adventure this winter.

Zoom into the stars and discover more about the constellations, planets and moons that we share our solar system with in this exciting live Planetarium show.

Beyond the Moon is a presenter-led live show that is a perfect introduction to the stars and planets. It’s great for the whole family.

You’ll start your epic journey here on Earth before the expert Planetarium pilot whisks you into orbit to discover the scale of the solar system. Be wowed as you explore the stars before journeying to our neighbouring planets and discovering more about their moons. How do they differ from our own? And what makes them unique?

And how exciting is this? There’ll be something new to discover with every visit as the live show whisks you to different corners of the solar system with every adventure.

Please be aware that all of our Planetarium shows can be viewed by every age group and are not quiet shows.

Accessibility information for Beyond the Moon

The Planetarium is accessible so everyone can have a special experience here. Planetarium shows are unusual and exciting experiences.  All our shows are relaxed and fun with calm presentations. We call them 'chatterbox shows'.  If you want to call out, ask questions or swap ideas with your group about what you can see, go right ahead.

It's not super dark and you can move around, go out and come back in if you like. If you have a wheelchair, we have spaces for you to sit with seats for your family and friends. The stairs have lights to make them easy to see.

We've got super 3D printed models and NASA's official tactile books. You can use them when you watch the show. We also have an induction loop. Sensitive to loud noises? You can borrow ear defenders from us before the show starts.

***On Monday, 12th February a British Sign Language interpreter will be signing during the 10.15am and 4pm shows. Talk to our Accessibility team so we can reserve a seat for you near the front.***
