We've pulled together the perfect party package so that you don't have to.
There's four hours of fun waiting for your birthday superstar and their friends. They'll be wowed by an awesome presenter-led live show in the Planetarium. They'll watch science come to life in an explosive science show. And where better to burn off all that birthday energy than on the two floors of hands-on interactive exhibits.
You'll have exclusive use of our space-themed party room for the entire time. We've even got you covered when it comes to food and party bags - all you need to do is bring the cake!
What's included:
- Entry to the Science Centre's two floors of hands-on exhibits
- Entry to a live Planetarium show
- Entry to the live science show
- Exclusive space themed party room for four hours

- Seven free adults per booking, to help you supervise your party group
- Party food served in the party room (includes sandwiches, crisps, fruit platter and dessert platter)
- Unlimited squash
- Party bag for each child (includes pencil, image pen, atomic eraser, pocket pad and pen)

Your party playlist:
- 12:30pm: parent and birthday child arrival
- 1pm: guest arrival - it's a drop-off party
- 1:15pm: Planetarium show
- 1:45pm: explore the hands-on exhibits
- 2:30pm: live science show
- 3pm: party food
- 3.30pm: explore the hands-on exhibits
- 4.30pm: collect your party bags, it's time to go home
Some useful information
- When you make your initial booking, you must book the minimum number of 10 children, additional children can be added and paid for on final confirmation of the party.
- Final party numbers, as well as dietary and accessibility requirements, must be confirmed no later than 14 days before the date of the party.
- All bookings must be made within 14 days of the planned party date.
- Children age 2 years and under are free.
- Our parties are drop-off parties - we don't expect your party guests parents to stay. However, in addition to your seven free adult helpers, you can add more adults if you need to. They will be charged at £10 per person. Please note that a maximum of 15 adults can attend.
- Final balance of additional guests will be required 14 days in advance of the party.
- Children must be supervised by the party adults at all times.
- Decorations can be brought in for the party room, however helium balloons are not permitted.
- Please feel free to bring a birthday cake and candles, a knife will be provided, however sparkler candles are not permitted.
- You are welcome to add additional gifts to your party bags.
- We suggest you arrive at 12:30pm and that your guests arrive at 1pm as your Planetarium show will start promptly at 1:15pm, please confirm arrival times upon final booking confirmation so that the party host can prepare.
- Please be aware that you will be joining other members of the public for your science and Planetarium shows.
- If for any reason you need to cancel your booking please email info@winchestersciencecentre.org as soon as possible. Deposits are fully refundable up to 14 working days before your event date. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event date will forfeit any deposit paid.
