What we offer
It's a really exciting time for us at the moment as we enter the final phase of a major redevelopment programme to improve our visitor experience. The complete transformation of the entire top floor of our venue will include an amazing new sound and vibration exhibition, nature-based experimentation zone and recombobulation room (a quiet room for people who need time away from the hustle and bustle of the centre), as well as refreshed welcome area, café and shop.
We can't wait to reopen but we can only do so once the work is complete. We can confirm that our plan is to reopen to the public on Saturday 17 October and to school groups from January 2021.
We may still be closed but there's plenty of ways you can interact with us through Science@Home, fun activities for schools and families to enjoy. If you haven’t done any yet, don’t worry, they’re available to do at any time. Visit the Science@Home pages to take a look.
We provide excellent STEM learning experiences for schools and groups both at the Science Centre or at your own school or venue through our outreach programme. Winchester Science Centre is the perfect choice for school and group visits, our experienced team welcome over 40,000 students each year from KS1 through to KS4. We also welcome sleepovers, uniformed groups and home educators. Explore all options using the tabs below.
