Come in from the cold and warm up this February half term with some explosive science fun!

Get ready to be inspired this February half term with captivating live science demonstrations, epic journey in family space journey with the return of live Planetarium show, Solar System Adventure and discover the secrets of our cosmos in subtitled film show, We Are Stars.

Families are invited to join our Inspirers in the Science Theatre for a 20-minute journey into the fascinating world of the Moon. Audiences will step into the Lunar Experience and uncover the mysteries of Earth’s closest neighbour! 

During the day, visitors can also immerse yourself in Van Gogh Alive, a world-first multisensory experience where Van Gogh’s masterpieces come to life through light, colour and sound, revealing the science behind how we see, feel and experience his iconic art.

Plus, venture inside our enormous 10m long playable guitar, experience the wonder of acoustics inside the sonic rocket and operate the crane in the role play construction area. Take a space selfie in the astronaut suit, build a tower that can survive an earthquake and discover the laugh out loud optical illusion of the Little Big Room. No matter what age you are, you can explore, play, create and discover why science isn’t just for scientists!
