Bubbles are back with a pop - and a bang - in the Science Theatre this summer. Discover more about the science of bubbles with the return of our hugely popular show, The Bubble Show.

Who doesn’t love a bubble? Childhoods are filled with days of fun chasing and popping these beautifully fragile, rainbow-coloured orbs. But did you know they're not just fun to play with? Bubbles provide us with the opportunity to learn about the chemistry of the states of matter and explore the physics of light. Join our science Inspirers as they delve into these topics and bring to life the science of bubbles in this fun-filled 20-minute live show.

Through a double bubble of exciting experiments and live demos, you’ll discover more about the science of bubbles. Find out what it takes to put a person inside a bubble. The Science Theatre is accessible so everyone can enjoy all the fun. Sometimes there will be loud noises, but we'll tell you about them before the show starts. If you want to wear ear defenders, you can borrow them from us before the show starts. If you feel nervous in a show, you can stay near the back and leave quickly if you need to.

Sensitive to loud noises? There's a not-so-noisy show just for you at 3.30pm.

***On Sunday, 13th July and Saturday, 16th August, a British Sign Language interpreter will be signing during the 11:30am and 2:30pm shows. Talk to our Accessibility team so we can reserve a seat for you near the front.***
