Space Rocks! - live Planetarium show

Dates: 16th December to 23rd December 2023 Weekends and school holidays
Location: Planetarium
Duration: 30 minutes
Tickets: £4 plus general admission

Join us for an out-of-this-world adventure through space. Discover the planets and stars that we share our Solar System with. But watch out for asteroids and comets!

Space Rocks! is a presenter-led live show that is a perfect introduction to the stars and planets. It’s great for the whole family.

Sit back and relax as we take you on an epic voyage through the stars and planets in Space Rocks! Have you ever looked up at the night sky? Well now’s your chance. Marvel at the spectacular sight of the constellations before the Planetarium pilot whisks you up out of Earth’s atmosphere.

As you fly around the Solar System, you’ll speed past planets and moons while your pilot shares fascinating facts about what can be seen. Hold on tight as you zoom through the Asteroid Belt and discover how Jupiter is protecting Earth from space rock impacts. There’s a big adventure in store – where will it take you?

Accessibility information for Space Rocks!

The Planetarium is accessible so everyone can have a special experience here. Planetarium shows are unusual and exciting experiences.  All our shows are relaxed and fun with calm presentations. We call them 'chatterbox shows'.  If you want to call out, ask questions or swap ideas with your group about what you can see, go right ahead.

It's not super dark and you can move around, go out and come back in if you like. If you have a wheelchair, we have spaces for you to sit with seats for your family and friends. The stairs have lights to make them easy to see.

We've got super 3D printed models and NASA's official tactile books. You can use them when you watch the show. We also have an induction loop. Sensitive to loud noises? You can borrow ear defenders from us before the show starts.

**On Tuesday, 19th December, a British Sign Language interpreter will be signing during the 10am show. Please get in touch with our Accessibility team to reserve a seat near the front for these shows.**
