Saturday 14th March to Sunday 19th April
Hop into adventure this Spring and Easter school holidays term at Winchester Science Centre!
Step into an immersive, story-led adventure where children explore South Downs habitats through movement, sound and imagination. Little explorers will follow a lively trail around the centre, uncovering the clues wildlife leave behind as they search for Bunny — learning that nature is often heard, tracked and discovered, not just seen.
The fun doesn’t stop when the hunt ends! Families can download the Mammal Mapper app to continue their wildlife discoveries at home.
Families are also invited to join our Inspirers in the Science Theatre for a 20-minute journey into the fascinating world of the Moon. Audiences will step into the Lunar Experience and uncover the mysteries of Earth’s closest neighbour!Â
From 27 March, two brand new shows launch in the planetarium. Little explorers can join Ted and his friend Plant in Ted’s Space Adventure, a playful 20-minute fulldome journey through the Solar System filled with songs, humour, live narration and interactive fun! Perfect for families with children aged 3–6.
For slightly older audiences, A Skyful of Wonder offers an epic, live-presented experience revealing exactly what you’ll see in the night sky on the date of your visit, exploring constellations, planets and the science behind them.
Plus, venture inside our enormous 10m long playable guitar, experience the wonder of acoustics inside the sonic rocket. Take a space selfie in the astronaut suit, build a tower that can survive an earthquake and discover the laugh out loud optical illusion of the Little Big Room. No matter what age you are, you can explore, play, create and discover why science isn’t just for scientists!
The Science Centre is open on weekends and during the school holidays.Â
