The interactive sensory map below will guide you through the science centre and help you plan your visit. For example, if you or someone in your groups is sensitive to loud noise, you may want to avoid the Guitar or Rocket and you may want to note that the Recombobulation Room, a quiet, empty space where you can go to reset, is located downstairs. Click on the coloured dots to see more information about each area.
This map was co-created with D/deaf families associated with local charity Chloe and Sophie’s Special Ear Fund. The families were involved from the beginning all the way through to the creation of the map. The map itself shows areas of the science centre that the D/deaf families identified as sensory hot spots.
