Once again, Winchester Science Centre is teaming up with the Royal Society of Chemistry and BOC to deliver the amazing show ‘The Secret World of Gases’. The show includes awe-inspiring demonstrations using liquid nitrogen and solid carbon dioxide that are guaranteed to inspire and excite! To complement the live show, there’s a host of hands-on activities taking place in the Invention Studio.

Weekend Activities

Free live science shows will take place in the Space Marquee on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and 14:00, with each show lasting approximately 30 minutes. We recommend reserving show tickets in advance when booking General Admission to guarantee entry to a particular show.

Our wonderful Inspirers will also be running activities in the Invention Studio, including rocket cars and bubble investigation!

Planetarium Shows

Make your visit extra special with a visit to our planetarium - savings are available for those who book General Admission and planetarium tickets in the same transaction. How to book

Secret World of Gases activities are free of charge for Annual Pass holders and included in General Admission. Visitors are advised to reserve tickets to their chosen live science show - this will be offered as a option when booking online in advance/on the day of your visit.

Buy tickets online in advance and save 10%. Further savings available when you book three tickets or more in same transaction. Admission for children is also HALF PRICE until 8th July so make the most of this spectacular offer!
