We are Aliens: SEN friendly
Take a fascinating, immersive journey to explore the evidence of where there could be alien life in our galaxy.
Find out what scientists and engineers are doing to try to answer one of the most fundamental questions: are we alone? From exploration of our neighbouring worlds to the discovery of distant exoplanets, we may not be far from an answer to this question. This show is best for ages 8yr+, containing science concepts appropriate to 11yr+, but the characters and imagery mean it is also attractive for younger children if they are content not to understand all the ideas presented.
See the show's blog at wearealiens.com for trailer and further information.
£3.50 with general admission and £6.60 standalone.
Advisory: This show is suitable for families with younger children and is SEN friendly.
We have introduced an afternoon SEN friendly show this Easter holiday (Friday 30 March – Monday 16 April). This show will feature every day in our planetarium schedule at 3:30pm.
The capacity of the planetarium has been reduced, there will be low level lighting left on throughout the show and quieter sound levels. Visitors are free to vocalise their enjoyment and communicate, and staff will be on hand to help anyone who needs assistance. The show is an animated fulldome film that lasts approximately 25 minutes.
We are reviewing our weekend and school holiday programme to provide more varied SEN screenings in the near future.
If you have any feedback or questions please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01962 863791.
Visual warning: As with all planetarium shows, this show includes large moving images which may affect people with photosensitive epilepsy, balance disorders and/or extreme motion sickness.
