STEM Diversity Training
The STEM Team at Winchester Science Centre are pleased to announce that STEMNET is teaming up with WISE to deliver training sessions to STEM Ambassadors and STEM Teachers across the country.
This training session will explore new approaches, resources and promotional material to encourage under-represented groups to consider STEM careers, especially young females.
You may be aware that the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) campaign recently launched the People Like Me campaign. This includes a resource pack that employs a new approach to STEM careers. It uses the natural tendency of young females to create and articulate their self-identity with adjectives. This is to support them see themselves working happily and successfully in science, technology, engineering or maths careers.
The training session will take place on Thursday 25 February 2016, 4.00pm to 5.30pm at Winchester Science Centre.
