School visits

********************

It's a really exciting time for us at the moment as we enter the final phase of a major redevelopment programme to improve our visitor experience. The complete transformation of the entire top floor of our venue will include an amazing new sound and vibration exhibition, nature-based experimentation zone and recombobulation room (a quiet room for people who need time away from the hustle and bustle of the centre), as well as refreshed welcome area, café and shop.

We can't wait to reopen but we can only do so once the work is complete. We can confirm that our plan is to reopen to the public on Saturday 17 October and to school groups from January 2021.

We may still be closed but there's plenty of ways you can interact with us through Science@Home, fun activities for schools and families to enjoy. If you haven’t done any yet, don’t worry, they’re available to do at any time. Visit the Science@Home pages to take a look.

If you would like to consider booking a visit or outreach experience from January 2021, please complete a booking enquiry form and email it to education@winchestersciencecentre.org. Thank you!

Visiting Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium is a great way to spark and encourage your students' curiosity in science, technology, engineering and maths. Our team of Curiosity Officers and Inspirers are highly skilled science communicators, able to present complicated ideas in a way that's right for all ages and ability. Find out what we can do for you on a school field trip using the tabs below.
