Live Planetarium Theatre: You Are Here!
You Are Here! is a story for children and adults that puts everything in its place – literally right at the centre of the Universe!
A free short live theatre performance set within the planetarium and incorporating a fulldome film.
Early one morning, just as the sun begins to rise, X & Y find themselves puzzled: 'Who’s stolen the stars?!’ With a little bit of help from the audience, much to their delight they uncover the surprisingly simple answer to this and many other everyday (and night) mysteries.
Supported by Arts Council England
Combining live performance with planetarium visuals, You Are Here! is a project developed by Winchester Science Centre in collaboration with the theatre company, The Occasion. Scripted by the award-winning children’s playwright, Andy Cannon, we are now at a point where we have approximately 10 minutes of material and are very much in need of feedback from the show’s target audience, children aged 5 to 12 and their families.
We'd love to have your feedback
The performance will be followed by a short feedback session where the audience will have a chance to say what they feel about this unique piece of ‘Planetarium Theatre’ and to ask any questions. The performances are free of charge but booking is essential as places are limited.
Tickets to this performance are free of charge. We recommend booking tickets in advance as space is limited. Tickets to this performance do not include entry to Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium.
