Ben Garrod: Jurassic CSI
Follow the quest to see what killed the world’s biggest dinosaur.
Thursday 23 March, 7.30pm
After a farmer’s dog found an 8ft dinosaur thigh bone in 2015, Ben joined Sir David Attenborough and a team of experts as they unearthed a new species of dinosaur in Argentina. The dig uncovered six more in the same area and they turned out to be the biggest in history. With seven in one spot from thousands of years apart, the team turned detectives to see what killed these 70 ton beasts. Looking at huge floods, volcanic eruptions and the 80 giant serrated teeth left embedded in the bones, Ben relives what it was like to film this amazing programme and how the team solved history’s biggest ‘Whodunnit’.
