Youth group visits

With over 100 hands-on exhibits and the UK's largest capacity Planetarium, Winchester Science Centre is the ideal venue for a youth group visit.

The hands-on exhibition allows children (and adults alike!) to explore and make their own discoveries, or work together to solve problems and have a lot of fun as they learn about the scientific concepts that the exhibits address. Visit the planetarium for an unforgettable and incredible experience.

If the primary objective of your visit is educational, you may be interested to download trail guides or worksheets to help structure the children's use of the exhibition.

Beaver, Cub and Brownie groups may be interested in visiting as part of a programme to obtain a space, stargazer or astronomy badge. Monthly badge evenings include a range of astronomy themed activities and a live presenter-led planetarium show.

Youth groups visiting during the festive period may enjoy a screening of the Space Mission for Santa (live), a fun and silly show, perfect for a Christmas treat! Please get in touch to check availability.

Group leaders are welcome to conduct a free planning visit (booking in advance required). Health and safety guidelines are available in preparation for conducting a risk assessment.
