Welcome to the Experience!


The South of England's hands-on interactive science and technology centre houses 100 hands-on science exhibits and the UK's largest capacity digital Planetarium! Open seven days a week.

Set within the beautiful South Downs National Park in a purpose-built iconic building with free on-site parking, the Science Centre is run by a charity.

Summer Holidays: opening hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 5pm weekends, up to and including Monday 1 September. Tickets for the main exhibition area (including drop-in live science shows every day) and/or planetarium can be booked online or bought on arrival.

Term-time opening hours: 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 5pm weekends and bank holidays. 

The Science Centre had over 150,000 visitors last year. Come for a few hours or for a whole day out; the Science Centre has a cafe and indoor / outdoor picnic areas.
