Big Bang @ Winchester Science Centre

Date: Thursday 19th May 2016

Location: Winchester Science Centre

Time: 9.00am to 12.00pm (KS2/3) or 1.00pm to 4.00pm (KS3/4)

The Winchester Science Centre STEM Team invite schools to bring students (maximum of 20) to attend Big Bang @ Winchester Science Centre on Thursday 19th May.

There will be two sessions running throughout the day 9.00am to 12.00pm for students in KS2-3, and the second session from 1.00pm to 4.00pm for KS3-4. The aim of the event is to celebrate students’ work and to inspire them to go further with their STEM studies.

The sessions include:

  • Over 100 hands-on activities
  • STEM company exhibition stands with activities and careers advice
  • Student exhibition stands
  • CREST assessing
  • Optional interactive workshop or planetarium show

This event is a showcase of local STEM talent, not a competition! So, no matter how big or small the projects are, every school is welcome to get involved. If a project hasn't yet been started, there is plenty of time for a team to compile something or even bring along their favourite STEM activities, posters, games or even practical investigations. Equally if students are part-way through a project please them along for feedback or advice.

There is limited space within the workshop and planetarium show, so please express an interest in your ticket booking, however this will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Please book students tickets via Eventbrite
