There is a wide range of support available to you as a STEM Ambassador.
Of course the STEM Team at Winchester Science Centre are always ready and willing to help you with any support you may need. Please contact us at email@example.com
There are also a range of resources on line which you can access at your convenience.
- 'STEMNetworking' has been designed specifically to support STEM Ambassadors and provides access to resources, requests for support from local schools and the opportunity to share your ideas through your own profile, or even a blog. As the name suggests, it's also an excellent place to make links with like-minded professionals from a wide range of STEM industries.
- The STEMClubs website is also a good resource for STEM Ambassadors. They have created a fact sheet on STEM Clubs and how you can get involved with some ideas about activities you might want to do with your local STEM Club.
- If you want to run an activity but aren’t sure where to start, the Powerful Practicals Toolkit could be a useful resource. It is a series of PDFs based on our extremely successful Powerful Practicals training for STEM Ambassadors. The PDFs can be downloaded on the Resource Bank and cover topics such as choosing an activity, health and safety, planning, and delivery tips. We also run this as a training session at Winchester Science Centre. If you are interested in attending please contact EmilyThorpe-Smith@winchestersciencecentre.org
