Behind the Scenes of British Science Week

This British Science Week (11-20 March 2016) the British Science Association is throwing open the doors of Britain’s most fascinating STEM locations.

On 16th, 17th and 18th March the British Science Association will be going behind the scenes of Royal Mail in Preston, Warrington and London.  This is a rare opportunity for groups of 10, KS3 students to see Royal Mail’s modern mail centres and to talk to Royal Mail’s engineers and Advanced Engineering Apprentices about career opportunities.

On 18th March the BSA will be going behind the scenes of Historic England in Portsmouth. 24 students aged 14-18 can see live demonstrations by scientists on animal bones, plant remains, ancient glass and artefacts from shipwrecks.

On 17th March five year 8 students from five different schools can visit L’Oréal’s UK and Ireland Head Office and take part in a fantastic science challenge.
